MLK Jr. Art & Writing Contest
Grades 6-8: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes
The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King famously said in 1963 that he had a dream for a better world for all. In some ways, the dream has been fulfilled, and in other ways, it has not.
Question: How do you see your role in making all of Dr. King's dream a reality?
• Only 1 entry per student.
• Essays should be a minimum of one page in length (single spaced, typed), or a minimum of two pages if handwritten.
• Artwork should be no larger than 12 x18 overall.
Name, Grade, School Name and Contact Information must be included with the submission (as a separate form or on the back of the submission).
Members of the Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Committee will serve as judges.
Home school students are also encouraged to participate!

Entries are due by 8 p.m. Jan. 4, 2022- NO EXCEPTIONS
First Place Prize: $500,
Second Place Prize: $300,
Third Place Prize: $200
Winners will be asked to attend this year’s Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Banquet on Jan. 13, 2023.
